On Loan (Santa Barbara, California)

I created a traditional gallery exhibition and mirrored that exhibition in nine homes throughout the Santa Barbara area and then offered public tours of these homes. By creating a second edition of each piece in the gallery exhibition, I was able to place one work on loan in each home for the duration of the three month show. Prior to the tours, I met each homeowner and discussed my work and had them give me a tour of their home and the objects in it. At the end of this meeting they picked a work of mine to display in their home. The tours were free and held on three weekends and each traveled to three homes. I created tours based on stories and information given to me during our meetings and sought to create dialogue among homes, and between my artworks and the objects in each home.
